24 years engineering
RF that doesn't quit.
WirEng® designs and builds drone connectivity hardware in Houston, Texas — antennas, amplifiers, controller interfaces, and mobile command systems used by public safety, tactical, agricultural, and infrastructure operators on four continents.
We took a position
in 2002.
We still hold it.
Most drone connectivity products are afterthoughts. They live inside the controller firmware, they break when the manufacturer pushes an update, they void warranties, and they fail at the edge of the link budget where the mission actually happens.
We built the opposite stack. RF that bolts on, doesn't touch firmware, and survives the field. Twenty-four years of antennas, amplifiers, and controller interfaces — engineered and manufactured in Houston, Texas. ITAR-registered. NDAA-compliant. Bought by the operators who can't afford to lose a link.
The principle hasn't aged. Every product family we ship still follows it.
WirEng® is founded in Houston.
A team of RF engineers watches commercial drone radios get worse, not better, as the consumer market scales. The problem isn't the radios — it's the architecture. They take the opposite path: bolt-on RF that respects the controller and stays out of the firmware.
Four commitments
we don't negotiate on.
Bolt-on, not built-in.
We engineer hardware that improves your link without modifying your drone's firmware, voiding your warranty, or invalidating your certifications.
Engineered in Houston.
RF design, antenna tuning, amplifier characterization, and final assembly happen on one campus. So does the warranty.
Compliant by default.
ITAR-registered. NDAA-compliant. We don't sell hardware that creates a procurement problem for our customers.
Operators, not consumers.
We design for the public safety, tactical, agricultural, and industrial operators whose missions depend on the radio working when it has to.
One campus.
One floor between R&D and shipping.
Our RF lab, antenna chamber, amplifier bench, and assembly floor are all in Houston, Texas. The engineer who designed your antenna can walk to the bench where it was tuned, and the technician who tested it can hand it to the team that packed it.
No subcontracted RF design. No outsourced manufacturing. The shortest distance between a customer call and a hardware revision is one floor.
Built in Houston.
Shipped across four continents. Bought by seven sectors.
WirEng® hardware ships through four distributors — Houston (HQ), Spain, Poland, and Ukraine — to operators in seven sectors. We grow the distributor network the way we grow products: slowly, after the engineering is right.
Engineered to be talked to.
Engineering reads every inquiry. Sales does not gate the conversation.
